Neyers, Merlot, 2002

VERY interesting Merlot, like no other I ever tried. Very rich
Very fruity. Friend of mine picked a strong “thai stick” nose
after 30 mins decantered. Fruit bomb? Most likely!
WS 88 points, my rating 91 points.

Good representative of Tuscany wines, fully matured, soft tanins, nice, balanced acidity
Drink it now, the wine is near or at it’s peak.

Caymus 2000 Cab

2000 WAS a hard year to make wine.
I like Caymus since it was introduced it to us, with 1997 Cab,
2000 is not up to par, too sweet.
But…one can still recognize the Caymus class in the wine making despite the hard year. I rate it 89 and will gladly have it again, despite some extra sweetness.
